Usage, operation, and settings are similar to UCMeetChat Desktop, but there are differences and additional features for previous versions of UCMeetChat, which we will show in the screenshots:

UCMeetChat is a universal application and can work with any private corporate server running on the Matrix protocol, as well as with the public Matrix federation network. Therefore, at the very beginning, you need to decide which server you will work with. Let’s consider the option of using a closed private server:

Enter the address of your server, for example matrix.ucmeet.org:

If you are on the public UC.Technology server, matrix.ucmeet.chat, you can register and sign in. But since we are using matrix.ucmeet.org, click the “Sign in” button:

Enter your corporate username and password, which you have already received from your administrator:

Next, choose the interface option: full or lightweight. This can be changed later.

For now, everything is clean: you have no rooms, spaces, or direct messages yet:

Click “+” and choose what you want to do:
Configure UCMeetChat:

Let’s review the available options in the order in which they are displayed:

Enter all the parameters you need, and also upload an avatar:

Specify which notifications should be received and where they should be delivered:

Configure the smartphone interface. In “Advanced theme settings”, change the colors, font, and other options, possibly in the light theme:

You can enable the feature that prevents accidental calls:

Here you can find everything about encryption and security, as well as your keys:

Here you can find experimental features that may behave unexpectedly. Use them with caution:

This section is intended for developers. If you do not need anything additional, you can skip this tab. You may need it when contacting our support team:

Here you can find information about the application and build versions, as well as access the UCHelpDesk support server:

Our policies and rules:

Setup is complete. Now you can invite friends and colleagues to communicate from your contact book, using a generated link, or via a QR code:

And also create your first room:

In the upper-right corner, click the “three dots” and customize your new room:

For example, change the colors:

Here we have selected the blue palette. Click the buttons at the bottom right:

That is enough to get started. You can now use UCMeetChat:

To start communicating, go to the “Write messages” and “Rooms” pages.
